Tri-City Collective’s Focus Black Rodeo panel discussion will delve deep into the lives, psyches,  and experiences of Black cowboys and cowgirls in Oklahoma. Hear firsthand from these remarkable individuals about their history, cultural contributions, the challenges they face today, and their inspiring victories.

 

Join us as we explore the rich and often overlooked contributions of Black cowboys and cowgirls in Oklahoma, discovering how they have been integral to the state's heritage, challenging stereotypes and contributing to the American West. We will learn about their resilience in the face of discrimination and their role in building strong communities, while gaining insights into the contemporary realities of Black cowboys and cowgirls. This panel celebrates their continued contributions to Western culture and heritage.
