Jamie Glisson (she/her)

For nearly two decades, Jamie Glisson has captured the moments that matter, documenting the emotions, struggles, and triumphs that shape the human experience. Growing up on military bases around the world, she developed an appreciation for diverse perspectives that continue to influence her work.

Jamie began her photojournalism career at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and later co-founded an award-winning wedding photography business, traveling across the nation for over a decade. She shifted her focus back to current events during the 2016 presidential election. Since 2020, Jamie has been an NPR correspondent and photojournalist for Focus: Black Oklahoma, highlighting untold stories and documenting the conflicts of our time.

Her work examines the intersections of identities, environments, communities, and legacies, playing a pivotal role in shifting power dynamics in Oklahoma.
