Jamie Glisson (she/her)

Jamie Glisson is a Tulsa transplant from South Texas. Professionally, she is a photojournalist, award-winning photographer, and NPR correspondent for Focus: Black Oklahoma.   Personally, Jamie is a wife, mother (natural and foster), community activist, animal lover, karaoke connoisseur, tourist, and audiobook junkie.

Growing up in a military family afforded Jamie the privilege of living and traveling all around the world - from Hawaii to Spain to currently residing in Tulsa.

While she still runs a successful Houston based wedding and event photography business, she has opened her own studio in West Tulsa called ImPressOK. Jamie's first museum gallery exhibition was displayed at the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art. The exhibit is featuring her coverage of the art piece "Society's Cage" that was brought to Tulsa during the Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial.
