Tri-City Collective Member Curates The Forgotten Stories

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

Sounds of poetry are echoing through the Crossroads District in Kansas City, Missouri. The Mid-America Arts Alliance is still closed due to the pandemic, but for the next several months they’ll be featuring poetry in audio form.

Planned broadcasts via loudspeaker will pump poems into the surrounding city streets.

Six different poets will have 12 different stories repurposed into poetic audio form. The project curator Quraysh Ali Lansana says the mission behind the unique exhibition is a simple one.
