Join us for the Grand Opening of the Focus: Black Rodeo Photography Exhibition, featuring works by Impressok from rodeos across Oklahoma.
You'll have the chance to meet notable guests, including Tiffany Guess, Rodeo Music Director, Promoter, and Legacy Open Rodeo Producer; Marcous Friday, Professional Rodeo Announcer and Oklahoma’s legendary voice; along with two of Oklahoma’s premier Pony Express teams!
A project dedicated to honoring the rich, yet underrepresented, legacy of the Black rodeo culture in Oklahoma. Photographer Jamie Glisson, shines a light on this vibrant world—a world that has persevered in the face of America’s Jim Crow era and ongoing institutional racism, which have kept these stories from receiving the same recognition as those of predominantly white rodeo circuits.
